49ers Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir Arrested on Misdemeanor Charge

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was detained Thursday evening in Los Angeles. According to reports from TMZ and sheriff’s records, he was arrested on suspicion of resisting a peace officer after refusing to surrender car keys belonging to Marcus Cunningham, who was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. Cunningham allegedly threw his keys to Lenoir while both were double-parked and approached by officers.
Records show Lenoir was taken into custody at 5:30 p.m. by the LAPD’s 77th Street division and released on his own recognizance early the next morning at 1:18 a.m. His court date is scheduled for July 25 in Los Angeles. Lenoir recently signed a five-year, $88 million extension with the 49ers, developed into a key defensive player, and is expected to join training camp starting July 22.
