London Man Sentenced to Life for Knife Attack on Boy

A 37-year-old man in London received a life sentence after killing a 14-year-old boy during a 20-minute rampage through residential neighborhoods. Prosecutors explained that Marcos Arduini Monzo, suffering from a drug-induced psychosis, began his assault shortly after 7 a.m., attacking multiple victims including police officers and a family. The attack included the use of a samurai sword after he struck a man with his van.
The boy, Daniel Anjorin, was found dead near his home, still wearing his school backpack. Monzo shouted inflammatory statements during the attack and refused to surrender when police arrived, escalating the violence before being subdued with Tasers. Despite his social media support for extremist figures and conspiracy theories, prosecutors confirmed that his actions stemmed from psychosis rather than political motives. Monzo was sentenced to serve a minimum of 40 years before being eligible for parole.
