M5 iPad Pro OLED Displays Enter Mass Production for October Launch

Apple is anticipated to launch new iPad Pro models powered by the latest M5 chip later this year. Reports indicate that both Samsung Display and LG Display have commenced mass production of the OLED panels required for these devices.
Historically, last year's iPad Pro models featured OLED displays supplied by Samsung for the 11-inch versions and LG for the 13-inch models. This year, ZDNet Korea reports that both manufacturers will share supply for both sizes, likely as part of Apple's strategy to diversify and strengthen its supply chain. Plans also suggest that Apple will extend OLED adoption to the iPad mini in 2026 and the iPad Air in 2027.
Apart from the OLED screens, last year's M4 iPad Pro introduced a thinner, lighter design, support for the new Apple Pencil Pro, and other enhancements. The upcoming M5 iPad Pro is expected to receive a modest update primarily featuring the new chip, manufactured on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process technology, which promises better performance and efficiency.
One notable rumored design change is the possible reorientation of the Apple logo on the back to landscape mode, making it upright in landscape orientation, which could align with keyboard usage.
